Buffalo Herds and Windmills
Journey Through Time: Buffalo Herds and Changing RoadsLyrics
In the old days when the wheels went round and round
In the past, when things were simpler and traditional.
Through a wagon trench I called this home
Referring to a humble dwelling in a wagon trench as home.
And out here on these new trails we've blazed
Exploring new paths and experiences.
Watching buffalo herd and windmills sway
Observing the natural beauty of buffalo herds and swaying windmills.
And still these paths do run wild
Current paths are still untamed, though influenced by urban development.
But now the concrete slabs make roads of mile
Concrete slabs now replace natural paths, forming miles of roads.
DId the wealthiest always get there first
Questioning whether the wealthiest always lead in exploration.
They could afford to journey on and on
Wealthy individuals could afford to explore endlessly.
Amazed at what we've come from
Expressing awe at the journey's origin and the discoveries made.
And found along the way the wheels don't turn much different
Realizing that despite progress, fundamental aspects remain unchanged.
Only the roads have changed
Only the roads have evolved, not the essence of life's journey.
A freeway never seemed so strange
Feeling disoriented by the unfamiliarity of a freeway.
Rushing back an forht from a life that I can't explain
Rushing back and forth in a life that is challenging to explain.
In the old days when the wheels went round and round
Reiterating the nostalgia of the past when life was simpler.
Through a wagon trench I called this home
Recalling a sense of home in the wagon trench amid buffalo herds and windmills.
Watching buffalo herds and windmills sway
Reflecting on the beauty of buffalo herds and swaying windmills.
