I was searching nearly all my life
I spent a significant part of my life searching.
For something I could feel inside
Seeking something meaningful and genuine within myself.
Walkin' through a world of pain
Navigating through a world filled with pain.
And then I called His name
Called out to Him (possibly Jesus) at a turning point.
And I heard a voice inside my heart
Heard a voice within my heart, a new experience.
One I never heard before
A voice unlike any I've heard before.
Then His spirit opened up my eyes
His spirit enlightened my perception.
Down on bended knee I cried
Expressed deep emotion, possibly repentance, on bended knee.
And I thank God He found me
Grateful to God for finding me in this moment.
Now Heaven's all around me
Feeling the presence of Heaven all around me.
Sweet Jesus, gave His love to me
Acknowledging the love received from Jesus.
Sweet Jesus, died and set me free
Recognizing the liberating impact of Jesus' sacrifice.
Once I was lost and in doubt of it all
Previously lost and doubtful, but a transformation occurred.
But now I believe in sweet Jesus
Now a believer in the love and teachings of Jesus.
Like a sparrow on a windy day
Using the metaphor of a sparrow facing challenges.
I was tryin' to fly in vain
Struggling to overcome obstacles, especially in vain attempts.
Didn't know if I could make it home
Uncertain about finding a way home.
Not until I saw Him calm the storm
Witnessed Jesus calming a storm, providing reassurance.
Now my shelter is His endless love
Currently finding shelter in the boundless love of Jesus.
Standing on the rock of blood
Grounded on the solid foundation of Jesus' sacrifice (rock of blood).
Now my life is living proof
My life now serves as evidence of the transformative power of Jesus.
Of what the Son of God can do
Believing in what the Son of God can accomplish.
Sweet Jesus, gave His love to me
Reiterating the love received from Jesus.
Sweet Jesus, died and set me free
Highlighting the freedom attained through Jesus' death.
Once I was lost and in doubt of it all
Reflecting on past doubts and being lost.
But now I believe in sweet Jesus
Presently a firm believer in the transformative power of Jesus.
They gathered at the gravesite
Describing a scene at a gravesite, possibly referring to Jesus' burial.
Just to find an opened stone
Discovering an opened tomb, possibly alluding to Jesus' resurrection.
And they all rushed in to see
A collective rush to witness the event.
But He was risen and gone
Realizing Jesus has risen and is no longer in the tomb.
Now He's living on and on
Emphasizing Jesus' eternal existence.

Emphasizing the freedom gained through Jesus' sacrifice.
Once I was lost and in doubt of it all
