He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Those who reside in the protection and care of the Most High
Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty
Will remain in the shelter and safety provided by the Almighty
I will say to the Lord, My refuge and my fortress
Expressing a declaration to the Lord, acknowledging Him as a safe haven and stronghold
My God, in whom I trust
My ultimate trust is placed in God
For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
God will rescue from traps and dangers set by the enemy
And from the deadly pestilence
Deliverance from deadly diseases and illnesses
He will cover you with his pinions
God's protection is likened to the covering of wings
And under his wings you will find refuge
Seeking safety and refuge beneath God's care
His faithfulness is a shield and buckler
God's reliability serves as both a shield and defensive armor
You will not fear the terror of the night
No fear of night-time threats or dangers
Nor the arrow that flies by day
No fear of dangers that appear in daylight
Nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness
No fear of hidden and secretive dangers
Nor the destruction that wastes at noonday
No fear of destructive events even in broad daylight
A thousand may fall at your side
Others may fall around, but it won't happen to you
Ten thousand at your right hand
Even if many fall nearby, it won't affect you
But it will not come near you
Assurance that harm won't come close
You will only look with your eyes
Observing the consequences of the wicked without being affected
And see the recompense of the wicked
Because the Lord is chosen as the place of residence and safety
Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place
The Most High is the secure place of protection
The Most High, who is my refuge
No harm or calamity will come near
No evil shall be allowed to befall you
No epidemic or disaster will approach your dwelling
No plague come near your tent
Divine command to protect through angelic guardianship
For he will command his angels concerning you
Angels are tasked to watch over and safeguard in all circumstances
To guard you in all your ways
Preventing stumbling or harm, ensuring safety
On their hands they will bear you up
Carrying and supporting, preventing accidents or harm
Lest you strike your foot against a stone
Even dangerous creatures won't harm
You will tread on the lion and the adder
Authority and victory over dangerous animals
The young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot
Complete triumph over threatening creatures
Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him
As a result of staying connected to God through love
I will protect him, because he knows my name
God promises protection due to acknowledging His name
When he calls to me, I will answer him
Promised response when calling upon God
I will be with him in trouble
God's presence and assistance during difficult times
I will rescue him and honor him
Assurance of rescue and honor from God
With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation
Promised longevity and experience of God's salvation
