Do you wake up in the morning feeling restless?

And I am not afraid of anyone

I haven’t met before
Confident despite not meeting everyone yet.
But this city is a river
Metaphorically drowning in the challenges of the city.
And I am drowning in it

But if the river takes me

As they burn their tiny empires to the dirt

Does he love the way a mother does

In spite of all the hurt

I don’t know the meaning of this journey

Or what one needs to make it on this earth

But if I can make it 'til tomorrow morning

The city is an ocean
City symbolized as an overwhelming ocean.
And I am treading water
Struggling to stay afloat in the challenges.
Slowly make my way back
Slow progress towards returning to stability.
To the shore
Metaphorical journey back to a secure place.
Feels as though I’m standing on the
Sense of standing on the achievements of predecessors.
Shoulders of the giants
Navigating life's challenges influenced by others.
Carried cross imaginary lines
Acknowledging the influence of imaginary boundaries.
Drawn in the sand
