Bedside, pulling out my hair by my bedside
Feeling distressed or anxious by the bedside, possibly dealing with a challenging situation.
If I already knew about it, what did expect me to do about it,
Expressing frustration about being aware of a problem without knowing how to address or solve it.
Tongue tied, loosening the knots with stage fright
Experiencing nervousness or anxiety, attempting to overcome performance anxiety or fear.
It was such waste of an outing, but what can we do about it,
Reflecting on a disappointing experience or event and acknowledging the limitations in dealing with it.
Onside, tryna keep those demons onside
Struggling to cope with inner struggles or personal demons, acknowledging the difficulty of the process.
And its not a very pleasant process but nobody told you it would be darling,
Recognizing that addressing inner demons is challenging, and it may not be a pleasant journey.
Running with your fingers in your ears won’t get you that far,
Acknowledging that avoiding problems or challenges won't lead to progress or success.
Surely just conversing with yourself it can’t be that hard,
Contemplating the ease of self-reflection or introspection, suggesting it should not be difficult.
Open to the notion that I’ve got it all wrong and need to start again - make amends,
Being open to the possibility of having made mistakes and needing to start anew or reconcile.
Tapestries of miseries built up inside my bedroom,
Describing accumulated sorrows or troubles metaphorically as tapestries inside the bedroom.
Some I will keep to myself and some I share with you,
Differentiating between personal struggles kept private and those shared with someone else.
