I Thought About You
Journey of Remembrance: Echoes of Love on a Moonlit TrainLyrics
Seems that I read, or somebody said
Contemplating information received or heard
That out of sight is out of mind
Suggesting the adage that being unseen leads to being forgotten
Maybe that's so but I tried to go
Despite the notion, an attempt was made to move on
And leave you behind, what did I find
Discovering the outcome of trying to leave you
I took a trip on the train
Embarking on a train journey
And I thought about you,
Reflecting on thoughts of you during the journey
I passed a shadowy lane
Passing through a dimly lit path or memory
And I thought about you,
Continuing to think about you
Two or three cars parked under the stars
Observing a scene with parked cars under the night sky
A winding stream
Describing a picturesque setting with a winding stream
Moon shining down on some little town
Noting the moonlight over a small town
And with each beam, same old dream
Associating the scene with a recurring dream
At every stop that we made
Reflecting on thoughts of you at each train stop
Oh, I thought about you
Continuing to think about you during the journey
But when I pulled down the shade
Feeling a sense of sadness when blocking external view
Then I really felt blue,
Experiencing deep melancholy after isolating from external surroundings
I peeked through the crack
Sneaking a glimpse through a crevice or opening
And looked at the track
Examining the train tracks, possibly metaphorical of the path taken
The one going back to you
Recognizing the route leading back to you
And what did I do
Contemplating actions in response to the realization
I thought about you
Continuing to think about you
