This is a message addressed to my future self, the older version of me.
Can you tell me is my music still controlling me
Questioning whether my music still has a controlling influence on me.
Can you tell me if my friends have turned to foes to me
Wondering if my friends have become enemies over time.
And can you tell me is my girl still holding me
Questioning the status of my relationship, whether my girl is still supportive.
I know they hear my music but do they hear it globally
Reflecting on whether my music is heard and appreciated globally.
Are you still depressed but can't express it vocally
Asking if I am still experiencing depression but struggling to express it verbally.
Or have you found a way to stop being so awkward socially
Exploring if I have overcome social awkwardness or found ways to cope.
Or are you still tryna find yourself while writing poetry
Questioning whether I am still in the process of self-discovery while engaging in poetry.
Do you still take the meds that change our personality
Asking about the continuation of medication that alters my personality.
Really hope so cause I wanna have friends surrounding me
Expressing a desire for friendship and social connections.
Hope we got some fans and the numbers growing rapidly
Expressing hope for an increase in fans and popularity in my music.
Maybe you killed yourself cause you couldn't handle agony
Contemplating the possibility of self-harm due to overwhelming agony.
I just wanna know this a letter to the future
Reiterating that this is a communication directed towards the future.
Hope you get my message please respond a little sooner
Requesting a prompt response to the message sent to the future self.
Cause I'm sending it out ten years later
Noting the time gap of ten years before expecting a response.
Lets see how my story goes and how I flex on the haters
Anticipating the progression of personal and professional success, overcoming detractors.
Well I hope that you made it to the top
Expressing a hope for reaching the pinnacle of success.
Cause I'd love to see our grind
Expressing a desire to witness the fruits of hard work and dedication.
Cause me and you
Highlighting the unity between the current self and the future self.
Know the only thing
Emphasizing that the primary aspiration is to achieve success.
That's been on our mind is one day stunting and watching ourself shine
Focusing on the dream of showcasing success and self-shining in the future.
